Premier Berisha considered the Thursday events in Belgrade condemnable and recall of Milosevic era.

“Yesterday events are condemnable. Assaulting embassies of the free countries recalls the Milosevician past,” said Premier Berisha during a news conference with Commander of the Allied Joint Force of Naples Admiral Mark Fitzgerald.

Premier Berisha said that Serbian nation does not back violence, which runs counter to its future.

 “Yesterday events in Belgrade had some true things. In general, the Serbians did not respond to the call and this has to be praised. Despite of the mobilization of all transport means of Serbia, the majority of citizens did not join the protest”.

Secondly, it is extraordinarily grave that the prime minister of a country calls for mass rallies to wail sirens of nationalism and it is hideous that groups of hooligans, gangsters and irresponsible persons ransacked buildings. This path leads toward the past and not to the future. I believe this is not in the interest of the Serb nation”, the premier said.

Likewise, PM Berisha praised the role of KFOR in establishment of peace and stability in Kosovo and Balkan, assuring of the close cooperation with Albania in this direction.
