Department of Internal Control and Anti-corruption
The Department of Internal Control and Anti-corruption in the Council of Ministers has been re-organized and functions in line with decision No. 94, dated 15.02.2006 of the Council of Ministers “On approval of regulation about functions and procedures of administrative inner control and anti-Corruption of the Council of Ministers.” This department is the relevant structure for administrative inner control and anti-corruption in the institutions of executive power like the ministries, the central institutions, subordinated by the prime minister and ministers, Prefect administration as well as in trade associations of state capital. The Department’s mission is to carry out verification of administrative investigation regarding application of legitimacy and/or denouncements to abusive, corruptive and arbitrary practices, to identify the public administration employees, who by action or failure to act have committed violation of the legal and sub-legal acts in force, to prepare recommendations about issues also regarding the type of measures to the authors, as well as to make the public institutions aware in fight against corruption. In its activity, the department concentrates in acting in line with the legal framework through confirming with priority the violations, abuses and corruptive practices of the public officials. The Department is headed by the Director and is composed by 10 inspectors.
